Advances in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology and Emerging Novel Therapeutic Strategies reviews clinically relevant information regarding heart failure and arrhythmias as well as ischemic, structural and valvular heart disease.

The program highlights the emerging novel therapeutics to reduce the gap in care for valve disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillations and heart failure. Presentations and discussion emphasize new and changing concepts of disease pathophysiology and treatment.

This program was organized by faculty at Mayo Clinic and Brigham and Women's Hospital to highlight common and controversial clinical dilemmas, supported by state-of-the-art lectures in new and topical cardiovascular developments.

The expert faculty present material specifically designed to educate cardiologists, internists and primary care providers, providing the most clinically relevant information regarding heart disease to improve patient outcomes.

The special evening keynote session presenter is Dr. Eugene Braunwald. He provides a unique review of the history and advances in cardiovascular medicine in the last fifty years. He is the editor of the premier cardiology textbook, Braunwald's Heart Disease, which is now in its ninth edition.
