This course involves the examination of 12-15 patients with complex medical and dermatological diagnoses. Keynote speakers will focus in upon the management of advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. Course participants will meet in conference to develop differential diagnosis, review pathologist project histologic images and discuss the pathology. Open discussion follows with an expert panel to discuss the management and associated testing related to the diagnosis. The educational content will also include the management of complex medical and surgical cases.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: 

  • Recognize the importance of clinical (photographic) correlation with pathology in rare diseases
  • Describe the current standard of care for rare clinical diseases
  • Recognize challenging scenarios in dermatologic surgery
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the management of complex dermatologic surgery cases
