The 4th Annual Midwest Pediatric Ophthalmology Symposium highlights outstanding pediatric ophthalmologists and programs throughout the Midwest.  Topics will include the key diagnostic steps and novel surgical approaches for the treatment of strabismus, amblyopia, and anterior segment disease.

Join the 42nd Annual Midwest Glaucoma Symposium on Friday, September 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to learn about Pediatric Glaucoma.  This meeting will take place at Mayo Clinic.

A two-hour tour of the Mayo Clinic facility including site’s of historical significance will be available for attendees at 3:30 p.m.

Target Audience

This course will be relevant to general eye care as well as subspecialty care in Pediatric Opthalmology.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this course, attendees should be able to: 

  • Describe the evaluation and treatment options for various motility disorders.
  • Recognize the indications and surgical approaches for torsional and small angle strabismus.
  • Describe novel surgical approaches to strabismus associated with cranial nerve palsy.
  • Recognize the risk factors and novel management steps in pediatric cataract surgery.
