Mayo Clinic's 4th Annual Hematology/Oncology Challenges and Advances in Patient Care for NPs, PAs, and Nurses will be held at One Ocean Resort in Atlantic Beach, Florida. This continuing medical education (CME) conference will focus on the needs of advanced practice providers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, ARNPs (APRN), and nurses regarding the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic malignancies. The course will feature lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, interactive group discussions, and a poster session. Pharmacology content is available for select presentation as indicated on the program.

Abstracts
As part of Mayo Clinic's 4th Annual Hematology/Oncology Challenges and Advances in Patient Care for NPs, PAs, and Nurses course, we will host a poster session for presentation of original research or quality improvement projects dedicated to the field of hematology/oncology. The submission deadline for abstracts is March 20, 2020. Five abstracts will be awarded a scholarship for the first author to attend the course with a waived registration fee. Target Audience
This course is designed for Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PAs) in hematology/oncology and internal medicine, hematology/oncology nurses, fellows, students, and community physicians.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Develop a treatment plan for a patient with multiple presentations of acute leukemia
- Describe BMT and CART cell treatment and be able to recognize and manage complications of this type of therapy
- Discuss and recognize the different challenging cases in solid tumor malignancies
- Incorporate a multidisciplinary approach toward the treatment of each cancer patient
- Improve awareness of the indications for immunotherapy and formulate a treatment plan for these complications

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cme@mayo.edu. When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received. No refunds are granted less than 14 days before the course start date.
