Target Audience

This course is designed for athletic trainers, physical therapists and primary care physicians.  Orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, and other healthcare professionals interested in sports medicine may benefit from this program.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify current uses of ortho-biologics in elbow and shoulder pathologies.

  • Summarize the basics of ultrasound for diagnosis in shoulder and elbow pathology.

  • Describe in-season treatment of shoulder instability.

  • Apply different rehabilitation modalities for concussion, spine, shoulder, and elbow injuries.

  • State current guidelines for concussion return to play in athletes.
