Advances in Family Medicine is a one day course designed for the family medicine physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses. This course will provide attendees with current and relevant updates for daily care and management of a variety of  patient health concerns in primary care. Time is allocated for questions and discussion.

Target Audience

This course is designed for Primary Care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics Physicians (MD or DO), PAs and NPs.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Define ways to manage atrial fibrillation in the outpatient setting
  • Describe the diagnosis of diabetic foot ulcerations and when to consider hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Review the current recommendations for treatment of depression with an integrative care model and how to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT ) for the care of the patient with depression
