May 18 - 19, 2020 - Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota

As a Trustee of the Board, you experience the volatile, uncertain, and complex nature of healthcare. As you reflect upon your own experience and track record of effectiveness, questions arise:

  • How do I best translate my experience to improve the care of patients?
  • How do I best advocate for clear strategy and success?
  • How do I best support our leadership team?

At Mayo Clinic, strategy is set by the Board of Trustees. This strategy is set in motion by the Chief Executive Officer and the 65,000 employees, he/she serves. There is one over-riding mission: the needs of our patients come first.

A key to the success of Mayo Clinic is the ability to collaborate across multiple areas of expertise to harness broader perspectives to make informed, difficult decisions. Physician, nursing, and administrative leaders work together as leadership triads to balance the strengths of tradition with bold and forward thinking.

During our program together, you will collaborate and network with colleagues from all over the world.

Target Audience

This program is for trustees of boards at Mayo Clinic Care Network member organizations.
