From Prevention to Innovation: A SEHA-Mayo Clinic Collaboration 2020

January 27, 2020 to January 28, 2020

The Mayo Clinic-SEHA is based on developing strategies and program that reflect the specific culture, needs and resources of the Middle East and North Africa regions. The educational need reflects the current priorities that governmental and clinical societies have identified as urgent to address. There are several clinical epidemics impacting MENA, including child and adult obesity, cardiovascular morbidity and end-stage liver and kidney disease. We aim or organize the educational content around the priorities, including basic research, clinical care and innovative therapies focused on their management. At the same time, there is no clear integrated and coordinated care in the region, which conspires against the delivery of patient centered, high-value care.
