Primary Care SEMN Skills Days Fall 2021
MORNING SESSION - This course offers LIVE (in person) and LIVESTREAM attendance option.
AFTERNOON SESSION - This only offers LIVE (in person) attendance.

This course is offered to newly hired and experienced NPs and PAs in primary care and SEMN. The course provides an opportunity to learn case-based approaches in the evaluation of primary care topics and well as hands-on skills training. Topics for future skills days are determined by the course evaluations and staff requested areas of needed education.
Target Audience
This activity is for Mayo Clinic primary care NPs and PAs serving SEMN.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize mental health risk factors in transgender patients.
- Describe recommended screening for transgender patients.
- Discuss one strategy to assist patients with opioid disorders
- Identify treatment options for patients with nicotine dependence.
- Demonstrate how to perform suturing and common skin biopsies.
