| Phlebotomy 2024: Pathways to Excellence |
April 17 - 19, 2024 - LIVESTREAM This three-day virtual conference offered for just a few hours each day will offer the opportunity to learn techniques for managing burnout and ways to create a positive patient experience. Attendees will have the option to select from a phlebotomist or supervisor track based on their role and specific areas of interest. An interactive session will give participants the opportunity to submit difficult phlebotomy cases ahead of time. These will be addressed during the live program. Finally, there will be a question-and-answer session featuring a panel of phlebotomy supervisors, phlebotomy educators, and human resources staff. November 1, 2024 - Mayo Clinic - Phoenix, Arizona This is a one-day, simulation-based course that fulfills the simulation requirements for Part IV of MOCA. It consists of a series of simulation scenarios followed by debriefing periods with a variety of anesthetic challenges. You will be sharing the day with other anesthesiologists. Cases are ones that any board-certified anesthesiologist ought to be striving to manage and consist of team management skills, as well as skills managing hemodynamic and respiratory instability. Participants are informed there is no graded test. This is an opportunity to participate in experiential learning: observe a case and then have an opportunity to analyze the case and its management.
