Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has the potential to impact and impair multiple aspects of life, including underachievement in education, difficulty with employment and challenging social relationships. ADHD has long been felt to be a disorder of childhood that gradually diminishes as one approaches adulthood, however it’s now being questioned whether ADHD can develop in adulthood. It’s thought that around 4% of adults have ADHD and that the majority are undiagnosed and untreated.
