This course will provide the latest, state-of-the-art information on the diagnosis and management of common disorders such as colon polyps; IBS, Celiac disease, Eosinophilic esophagitis, Barrett’s esophagus, gallstones and bile duct stones, Artificial Intelligence in GI endoscopy, new interventional Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS); strategies for screening for and managing hepatocellular carcinoma in populations, hepatitis B treatment, and management and diagnosis of fatty liver disease. 

Friday will offer a full-day interactive live-endoscopy session where participants will have the unique opportunity to ask the endoscopists questions while the procedures are taking place. And Saturday will offer didactic lectures with panel discussions for interactive Q & A opportunities with the faculty members. Active audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Target Audience

The intended audience includes gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, nurses and advanced healthcare practitioners (NPs, PAs, RNs, etc.).

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Gastroenterology:
• Review updated diagnostic criteria and management for IBS
• Explain expanding possibilities of interventional Endoscopic Ultrasound
• Describe diagnostic criteria and new treatment modalities for Eosinophilic esophagitis
• Evaluate upcoming AI technology in diagnostic endoscopy
• Describe the best technique to achieve high-quality EMR for managing colon polyps
• Evaluate current recommendations and newer diagnostic modalities for Barrett’s esophagus
• Review current algorithm to evaluate and treat suspected gallstone disease and bile duct stone

Hepatology:
• Evaluate current management for alcoholic hepatitis, including the controversial role of liver transplantation, and assess emerging potential therapy
• Update current and emerging approaches to hepatitis B
• Appraise current management of fatty liver disease
• Review strategies for screening populations for and managing hepatocellular carcinoma
