The current state of knowledge of common cardiovascular complications such as heart failure (HF), myocardial ischemia, hypertension (HTN), thromboembolism, and arrhythmia is associated with frequently used anticancer medications.

This cardiology-oncology CME conference will provide clinically important information regarding the management of cardiac and vascular diseases affecting patients with cancer and cancer survivors.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe pharmacotherapy and device therapy and advanced therapies in the management of patients with cardiotoxicity.
  • Identify diagnostic, clinical, and management options in the care of cardiovascular patients with cancer.
  • Use a case based approach to understand, treat and manage complex cancer patients with cardiovascular disease

Hands-on Workshop Objective:

• Identify the practicalities of accurate and valid measurement of cardiac chambers and novel echocardiographic measures for early detection of cardiotoxicity using strain imaging.

A limited block of guest rooms has been reserved for attendees at the special group rate of $325/night (USD) plus applicable city/state taxes. Make your reservation before the block fills or the cut-off date of January 7, 2019, reference Mayo Clinic Cardio-Oncology course. Group rates will apply three days prior to and three days after the course dates based on group room availability. Children under the age of 17 will stay complimentary. Third or fourth adult person rates are $50 each. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations. 

A deposit equal to one night’s stay ($325.00 plus tax) is required to hold each individual’s reservation. The deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the final night of the reserved stay. The deposit paid by individuals is refundable if notice is received at least seven (7) days prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.
