The field of infectious diseases is constantly changing posing challenges for front-line healthcare providers in the clinic and hospital settings. Emerging infections, multiple resistant pathogens, new diagnostics, guidelines, regulations, and antimicrobials require continuous learning. This course will provides up-to-date, concise and evidence based presentations and features lectures, case presentations and interactive discussions to enhance providers’ ability to diagnose, treat and prevent the infections commonly see in practice.
Updates on travel medicine, viral hepatitis and HIV, mycobacterial infections, use of microbiota therapeutics, complicated head and neck infections, C. difficile, Helicobacter pylori, fungal and parasitic infections, multi-resistant organisms and using social media to help manage infectious diseases.
