TST – Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test Training 2016 (June 13 Session)

Attendance at this course is by invitation only.

This one day course provides the skills and materials needed for trainers to present a Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test (TST).   Attendees are taught learning principles for instructors and  tips and tools to plan and conduct a successful Tuberculin Skin Test course. There will be a Tuberculin Skin Test course curriculum review and demonstration.

This course is free of charge.

ANCC Credit
Mayo Clinic Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Participants can earn 7.25 ANCC nursing contact hours for attendance at the entire activity and completion of the evaluation.

Target Audience

This course is designed for public health RNs who manage patients with TB, supervise those who provide care for TB patients, or are TB control staff.  

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe and apply the principles of adult learning to teaching the skill of tuberculin skin testing.
  • Identify the logistics of planning a TST training
  • Cite appropriate training resources
  • Demonstrate mastery of instructional skills
