Hot Topics in Family Medicine is an annual one day course designed for the family medicine physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses. This course will provide attendees with current and relevant updates to your daily management of various patient health concerns in primary care. Time is allocated for questions and discussion.

Target Audience

This course is designed for family medicine physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Define ways to manage polypharmacy and best practices that apply to de-prescribing.
  • Describe the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, early management and when to refer.
  • Review the current recommendations for management of opioid prescribing in practice.
