Thank you for your interest in visiting the Department of Nursing at Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minnesota, USA, campus. The Department of Nursing welcomes visits by nurses from around the world. Visits lasting one day up to two weeks are offered. This program is observational in design and provides the nurse visitor with opportunities to discuss professional nursing topics, consult with nursing leaders and subject matter experts, as well as observe inpatient care areas with staff nurses.

Mayo Clinic nursing does not have a formal training program offering direct patient care delivery. The Nurse Practice Act in Minnesota requires that only nurses licensed to practice in the United States may provide direct, hands-on patient care.

Submission of an application, completed confidentiality and HIPAA agreements, and immunization verification are required prior to your visit.
