This is a two-day comprehensive symposium that will feature interactive case presentations with a panel of experts weighing in on pivotal treatment issues as well as taking questions from the audience. These sessions will highlight standard of care, new treatments, side effects of treatment, as well as any pertinent clinical issues of a specific diagnosis.The interactive case presentations topics will be: Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and Chronic Lymphoid Leukemia. 

The second day of the symposium will have didactic sessions to address updates in: Acute and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Acute and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, BMT Updates in 2017, Palliative Care, and Infectious Disease issues in this population.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe outcomes of patients with relapsed Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
  • Recognize when to use ibrutinib in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
  • Identify side effects of ibrutinib treatment.
  • Describe what molecular markers to look for in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.
  • Recognize the importance of molecular markers in the treatment of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.
  • Identify which patients are eligible for stem cell transplant.
  • Identify the use of different donor sources for stem cell transplant and the role of haploidentical transplant in 2017.

There will be an additional charge of $50/night (USD) for double queen bed accommodations at the Encore for weekdays and $70/night (USD) for weekends. Group rates will apply three days prior to and three days following the course dates, based upon availability.

On Monday, August 7, Wynn and Encore implemented a new resort-wide paid parking program with self-parking charges for all visitors and hotel guests.
