Oculoplastic Surgery Update 2019
Course Directors: Elizabeth Bradley, M.D., Lilly Wagner, M.D.
The field of oculoplastic surgery encompasses a wide range of orbital, eyelid and lacrimal disorders. Recent advances in immunotherapy, imaging techniques and understanding of disease on a molecular level have impacted many aspects of our daily practice. To optimize outcomes of more complex oculoplastic conditions, close collaboration between multiple specialties is often beneficial. Topics discussed in this course will include current diagnostic modalities, treatment options and future prospects in the management of thyroid associated ophthalmopathy, facial palsy, periocular cutaneous and orbital malignancies and congenital malformations with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary approaches.
