Mayo Clinic’s Sports Medicine Summit is a livestreaming CME course featuring evidence-based and cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment strategies for sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions with a concentrated focus on the lower extremity and primary care sports medicine. A special session on COVID and sports will include an update on testing, disease transmission, creating a safe environment for athletes, as well as cardiac and pulmonary complications in athletes who have COVID positive diagnoses.  Faculty representing orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, family medicine, radiology, cardiology, pulmonology, infectious disease and physical therapy will lead didactic and interactive case presentations and panel discussions.

Target Audience

This course is designed for orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, primary care physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers. Other healthcare professionals interested in sports medicine may benefit from this program.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate how to accurately diagnose and treat common hip, knee, foot and ankle injuries in athletes.
