Mayo Clinic ENT Update and Tackling Problematic Sinusitis 2020
This tri-site Mayo Clinic course provides a multidisciplinary learning experience for the busy clinician, distilling two symposia in one unique course.
The fourth annual “ENT Update 2020” symposium provides a state-of-the art review of clinical updates pertinent to the practice of general otolaryngology. Subspecialties include head and neck, sleep medicine, otology, laryngology, facial plastic surgery and pediatric otolaryngology. A live surgical head and neck prosection will be featured.
The ninth annual “Tackling Problematic Sinusitis 2020” symposium features the latest in biologics and immunotherapies that offer new avenues of treatment for nasal polyps and cancers, endoscopic sinus surgery, frontal sinus surgery, basic skull base procedures, management of recalcitrant sinusitis and nasal pathology, as well as team-based care models and a live surgical skull base prosection. A research day will cover recent advances in understanding and managing chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).

- Describe practical tests to subtype chronic rhinosinusitis
- Explain how chronic rhinosinusitis subtyping can help identify therapeutic strategies
- Identify how chronic rhinosinusitis patients can benefit from Aspirin desensitization and biologic therapies
- Identify factors associated with sinus surgery failure
ENT Update 2020:
- Identify and treat pediatric sinusitis and tonsillitis
- Describe the latest updates in transoral laser and transoral robotic surgeries
- Recommend treatments for vocal cord paralysis and vocal cord carcinoma
- Assess challenges in facial plastics and base of skull surgeries
