Overview/Course Description
Neuroradiology: Practice to Innovation is intended to provide a practical discussion and review of common diseases involving the brain, head/neck, and spine. It will also provide an overview of common imaging strategies, as well as an update in new trends, relevant techniques, and applications in diagnostic and/or therapeutic neuroradiology. In addition, this course will review common endovascular and spinal interventional techniques utilized in neuroradiology.

Although it is not Department of Radiology CME policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closing of enrollment; therefore, early registration is advised. 

Targeted Audience
Neuroradiology: Practice to Innovation is designed for the practicing radiologist whose work involves neuroradiology, or those involved in the neurourological sciences, neurosurgery, neurology, and/or related fields.

Credit
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations.

Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs)
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in seven self-assessment modules (SAMs) during the course. The self-assessment modules have been designed to meet the standards of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) for self-assessment modules (SAMs).

Course Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

•    Summarize MRI safety guidelines
•    Discuss cerebral perfusion imaging
•    Describe semicircular canal dehiscence
•    Summarize MR spectroscopy and its clinical use
•    Discuss implications of operating a PET/MR in a clinical practice
•    Identify strengths and shortfalls of diffusion tractography 
•    Describe cutting edge methods for detecting spinal CSF leaks
