Course Directors: Richard A. Berger, M.D., Ph.D.; Marco Rizzo, M.D.; Robert J. Spinner, M.D.
Guest Course Director: A. Lee Dellon, M.D., Ph.D.
Joint pain is often related to bones, ligaments and cartilage and treated with anti-inflammatory medications or reconstruction surgery. When joint pain persists, a neural etiology must be considered.
It is the purpose of this workshop to discuss the anatomy, nerve block technique and surgical approach to partial joint denervation of the wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee and ankle. Didactic sessions will include evidence-based approaches to surgery and cadaver dissection in which each attendee will have both an upper and lower extremity specimen to dissect under the guidance of surgeons experienced in these techniques.
