Maintenance of Certification In Anesthesiology Simulation Training

Mayo Clinic's campus in Arizona is offering a one-day simulation training course in anesthesia crisis management as a pre-course session on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 OR instead of attending the lectures on Saturday, March 7, 2015. As one of ASA's endorsed programs, this course meets the simulation training requirement for Part IV (Practice Performance Assessment & Improvement) of Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®). Completion of the course provides board-certified anesthesiologists with MOCA® credit toward one component of Part IV. MOCA® and Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® are registered trademarks of The American Board of Anesthesiology, Inc.

The simulation training is at Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix on either Tuesday, March 3 or Saturday, March 7, 2014 and exclusive early registration is open to attendees of the Mayo Clinic Symposium on Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine course. After Dec. 1, noncourse attendees will have the opportunity to register. Space is limited; register early. This course is for board-certified physicians currently enrolled in MOCA® only.

MOCA registration fees:
$2075 for simulation training (Tuesday) PLUS four-day anesthesia symposium (Wednesday – Saturday)
$1955 for simulation training (Saturday) PLUS three-day anesthesia symposium  (Wednesday – Friday)

Participant cancellation before Jan. 12, 2015 will receive a full refund less a $250 processing fee. There will be no refund for cancellations made on or after Jan. 12, 2015.

Masters Class Small Group Interactive Discussions

Ninety-minute masters class small group interactive discussions are offered on Wednesday, March 4 and Friday, March 5.  Attendees may choose to attend one masters class per day. There is no additional fee to attend the masters class sessions. The topics are:

  1. Cardiothoracic anesthesia
  2. Obstetric anesthesia
  3. Pediatric anesthesia
  4. Regional anesthesia
  5. Neuromuscular monitoring
