    This course is designed to update physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals practicing clinical gastroenterology and hepatology about new approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Faculty present data on multiple topics including general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal neoplasia, esophageal diseases, motility, nutrition, pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopy and hepatology. The IBD symposium will focus on several aspects of the care of patients with IBD, including disease and adverse event monitoring, diet and nutritional recommendations for providers and patients, identifying and managing ileal pouch related disorders and dysplasia surveillance. This symposium will also include case discussions with experts on the role of combination therapy and therapeutic drug monitoring in routine IBD clinical care. Concurrent lunch breakout sessions offering an extensive review and discussion of clinical topics. Video presentations on complex endoscopy cases and new technology are presented by expert endoscopists. Controversies in diagnosis and management are analyzed in panel discussions.

    Mayo Clinic Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia (MOCA) Simulation 2025 Course - Phoenix, Arizona - September 12, 2025

    This is a one day simulation based course that will fulfill the simulation requirements for Part IV of MOCA. It will consist of a series of simulation scenarios followed by debriefing periods with a variety of anesthetic challenges. you will be sharing the day with other anesthesiologists. Cases will be ones that any board certified anesthesiologist ought to be striving to manage. They will consist of cases requiring team management skills, as well as skills managing hemodynamic and respiratory instability. Participants are informed that is not a test and is not graded. This is an opportunity to participate in experiential learning: where they will experience of observe a case and then have an opportunity to analyze the case and its management. Each participant will have the opportunity to be the prime manager of at least one scenario and to be a backup team in other scenarios.
