The 32nd Biennial Dermatology Symposium: The O’Leary Meeting 2019 is a combination of the O'Leary Meeting and the Minnesota Dermatological Society Meeting - There will be lectures and general assembly, including a Minnesota Dermatological Case review with patients. This symposium will consist of a multi-media approach to updating physicians about the current and future care of dermatology patients with both common and rare diseases. Topics presented will include areas of clinical, laboratory, surgical and pediatric dermatology. The information presented will be relevant to dermatopathologists, surgical dermatologists, general dermatologists, and pediatric dermatologists.

A traditional Gala Dinner will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Rochester Golf & Country Club. More details and information about transportation will be provided closer to the course.

Target Audience

This symposium is intended for dermatologists, physician assistants, nurses and other health care practitioners practicing in the area of clinical, pediatric, genetic, laboratory and surgical Dermatology.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss ways to approach challenging surgical dilemmas
  • Demonstrate a rational approach to the treatment of a complex medical dermatology patient.
  • Integrate biopsy findings with the clinical presentation to develop an accurate diagnosis
  • Explore novel treatments for dermatologic disease
