Room rates are per room, per night, single, double and triple occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in (currently 13.416%). Children under 18 years old staying in an adults' room are complimentary. Group rates apply three days prior and three days after the course dates, based upon group room availability.

The reduced daily resort fee of $15 per room (including tax) includes self-parking, high-speed Internet access, prevailing hotel golf fees and preferred tee times at The Bay and The Plantation golf courses, shuttle van transportation to and from the West Maui Airport and within the Kapalua resort, use of the 24-hour fitness center, Aloha Friday festivities, arts and crafts and cultural history tours, in-room coffee, tennis facilities, and local and toll-free telephone access at no charge.

Reservations will be taken based upon resort room availability, at the contracted meeting rate. A two-night room and tax deposit will be charged at time of booking. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations. Individual room cancellation must be received 14 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty of all nights reserved.

Situated on a beautiful wide stretch of Ka’anapali Beach, the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is just three miles from Lahaina, a historic whaling capital, and within walking distance of Whalers Village. The hotel is two and a half miles from the Kapalua-West Maui Airport, providing quick 30-minute scheduled Honolulu flights. Kahului Airport, 31 miles from Ka’anapali, is served by interisland, domestic, and international carriers.

• Run of Ocean – $300 

Room rates are per room, per night, single or double occupancy. Current rate for a third person in the room is $80, plus tax, per night. Children seventeen (17) years of age and younger are free of charge when sharing the same room as parent(s). Maximum of four (4) persons to a room. Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes, currently 13.4166%, or a mandatory resort fee of $15, per day, plus tax of 4.166% per day, per room. The resort fee includes unlimited wireless high-speed internet access in guest rooms, lobby and pool areas, valet parking on day of arrival (first night only), self-parking, local telephone calls, Starwood Maui scheduled shuttle service to Starwood properties and historic Lahaina town, one complimentary portrait session and 4X8 keepsake by a professional photographer, and signature Hawaiian tote bag. Parking

Self-parking at The Ritz-Carlton is $10. This fee is covered in the resort fee for those staying at the Ritz-Carlton.

Course Highlights

This continuing medical education program is designed to update physicians and other health care providers practicing in gastroenterology and hepatology about new approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Faculty will present data on multiple topics, including inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal neoplasia, general GI, esophageal, motility, nutrition, pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopy and hepatology.

Controversies in diagnosis and management will be analyzed in discussions and concurrent breakout sessions. Complex endoscopy cases and cutting-edge technology will be presented by expert endoscopists in a video forum. Optional sessions will be offered to help gastroenterologists and hepatologists prepare for recertification and obtain maintenance of certification credit. 

An audience response system and Twitter will be utilized for interactive learning by participants.

 Registration

The registration fee includes tuition, access to the online course syllabus, continental breakfasts, break refreshments, lunch concurrent sessions, and welcome reception. A link to the online syllabus will be sent via email one week prior to the course. This allows you to view, save or print the syllabus before attending the course. If you prefer a printed copy of the syllabus (additional fee), check the respective box at the bottom of the course registration form.

Although it is not Mayo Clinic's policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closure of enrollment. Early registration is strongly recommended. Walk-in registrations cannot be guaranteed.

Mayo Clinic will not be responsible for expenses incurred by individuals who are not confirmed for courses with a closed registration status. Costs incurred by the registrant such as airline/hotel fees or penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.

Leisure Activities

Attendees are responsible for their own reservations. The standard hotel reservation cancellation policy applies to individual reservations unless otherwise specified.
