DESCRIPTION
This activity is offered weekly on Mondays from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. held in Mayo 3-002N.

This is a forum to discuss updates in clinical practice in anesthesia, to describe new techniques in anesthesia, and to increase awareness of new concepts, research, & controversies in anesthesia. The educational needs of this RSS address each of Mayo Clinic’s three shields: patient care, education and research. Our RSS incorporates teaching of best practices, learning opportunities for our anesthesiologists, fellows, residents, and medical students, CRNAs, techs and nurses, and highlighting the outcomes of our own departmental research activities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the activities, the participant will be able to 1) Examine clinical practices in Anesthesia, 2) Describe new techniques in Anesthesia, 3) Identify anesthesia-related episodes of morbidity and mortality and 4) Summarizef new concepts, research, & controversies in Anesthesia.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for physicians, fellows, residents, and all others interested in this clinical topic area.
