Participants entering Mexico from the United States, Canada or other countries need valid passports. No visa is required. Travelers are asked to complete a tourist card (FMT form) at their point of entry. Any minor traveling with one parent needs a notarized letter of permission from the other parent. The U.S. Department of State offers up-to-date travel information.

MITT is the recommended transportation from the airport to the hotel. Reservations can be made online.

Travel arrangements are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.

Lodging Accommodations
There are a limited number of guest rooms available at the hotel. No additional room block has been obtained.  Please feel free to book on your own or check TripAdvisor.  

To secure your room at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort, call and state that you will be attending the Cardiology at Cancun conference or code CGCCGCA. The hotel room block is scheduled to be held until Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, but may be sold out before this date. Early reservations are recommended. 

All reservation requests require a one-night advance payment that is refundable only if the reservation is canceled at least 14 days prior to the arrival date. 

The rate is $180 per night, single or double occupancy

If you prefer a room at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, located directly adjacent to the CasaMagna, a special rate of $299 is available.

There is an additional room charge of $25 per person (18 years and over) if there are more than two people staying in the hotel room. Porterage (bellmen) gratuities are $5 per person; housekeeping gratuities are $4 per room per day. These are posted to individual rooms unless notified otherwise.  

Registrants are asked to guarantee two nights' room rental plus tax with a major credit card or check.  

Complimentary use of the CasaMagna Health Club facilities has been arranged for course participants.

Early departure fees are charged by the hotel if an attendee checks out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date without having notified the hotel at check-in of the change in scheduled departure. When you make your reservation, please confirm additional resort fees, early departure fees or cancellation penalties. 

Check-in time is 4 p.m. Check-out time is noon.

Activities and Restaurant Reservations

MITT will be at the hospitality desk outside the meeting room during the entire conference offering the following:
•    Optional private tours after the meetings. Because these are private tours for course participants and their guests, a minimum of 30 people is required. 
•    All other tours available in Cancun and Riviera Maya on their regular schedules.
•    Restaurant reservations.

Registration 
The registration fee includes tuition, an online course syllabus, continental breakfasts, break refreshments and welcome reception. 

Although it is not Mayo Clinic Division of Cardiovascular Diseases policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closing of enrollment; therefore, early registration is advised. 

A letter of confirmation is sent upon receipt of payment and completed registration form. Please present the confirmation letter when checking in at the meeting registration desk.
