CaringBridge helps patients and family caregivers going through health-related challenges, such as dementia, alzheimer's and other neurological conditions, stay connected with loved ones by providing a free online tool for sharing updates. It is an easy and ad-free way to communicate news to family and friends—all in one place. Families can start a free, personal website to share important information quickly. CaringBridge, a Minnesota nonprofit, does not sell personal information to marketers, and we allow the family to have complete control over the privacy settings, so the website is as private or public as they want it to be. Family and friends can stay informed without overwhelming the patient and family caregiver with endless phone calls, emails and text messages. Plus, families can post messages, photos and videos of support straight to the website. The Ways to Help section offers a Planner tool to digitally coordinate helpful care from a personal support community. The CaringBridge Planner makes it easy to request and accept help for errands, daily tasks, and much more. Families can even set up and launch Zoom calls or in-person visits. Beyond the Planner, Ways to Help offers the ability to set up and manage meal delivery through Meal Train, personal fundraisers via GoFundMe and additional support links important to the family.
Additional Information: CaringBridge is a free patient and family caregiver resource offered to organizations, hospitals and health systems with no financial or contractual obligations. Referring a patient or family caregiver to start a CaringBridge site at diagnosis, hospitalization, rehabilitation or as support for chronic conditions establishes a communication process and allows families to mobilize support.
