Session date:
08/06/2021 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm

FLA DLMP Liver Pathology Conference meets every Friday from 12:30-1:30 pm.

The weekly conference is organized by the Department of Pathology, and attended by pathologists and members of the Hepatology/Liver Transplant Service at MCF.  During the conference liver pathology slides during the week are reviewed. Aims include: 1) Review of slides with clinicians to highlight the pertinent pathological findings 2) Discuss the clinical management issues that relate to the findings 3) Teach the GI/Hepatology/Pathology fellows the pathology of specific findings/diseases.

It is an important forum for participants to integrate pathology and clinical findings to optimize management decisions for patients. It is therefore very useful and strongly supportive of our liver transplant program. It also provides the required pathology teaching for the trainees.

The conference is well attended and liked. Important clinical decisions are made during the conference which are helpful in the care of our liver patients. Our transplant program is among the leading programs in the country.
