The 2023 Holistic Health and Well-Being Conference will be a unique experience that includes evidence-based overviews of a variety of holistic approaches for mind, body, and spirit well-being. The purpose of this conference is to provide participants with a variety of strategies for self-care which can be incorporated in their practice and inspire whole person care. There will be an opportunity for experiential learning. This year's topics include functional medicine, aligning holistic and integrative nursing, well-being, nature, resiliency in teams, guided meditation, movement, and many more.

The practice of medicine is often stressful and at times, even frustrating. Sometimes the stress and frustration can get out of hand and lead us to feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. This has been described as burnout. There’s good evidence to suggest that well over half of all physicians practicing in the U.S. have exhibited some symptoms of burnout at some time during their career. Healthcare professional burnout not only has negative consequences for the clinician, but also for patients, as patient care can often suffer. What are the symptoms of burnout, can we prevent them and how can we manage those who are experiencing professional burnout? We’ll discuss these questions and more with Colin P. West, M.D., Ph.D., an internist in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.

This online CME material covers a broad range of various topics relevant to practicing nephrology/hypertension/kidney transplant providers with a focus on recent developments in the field.

Perianesthesia and perioperative nurses work closely caring for patients on the surgery continuum. This conference will bring both nursing specialties together to educate, collaborate, network, and highlight these nursing specialties together as one. Topics include psychological safety, smoke management, care of the patient of size, communication, several surgical updates, patient positioning, and site infections.
