Multiple educational formats are used, including case presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, as well as live demonstrations of physical examination, anatomy, ultrasound and arthroscopy. As in recent years, the symposium is broadcast via livestream for remote participation.

This livestream CNE course is designed as a beginner overview of ECG rhythm interpretation for cardiac monitoring. The course focuses on basic cardiac rhythm identification including some pathophysiology and treatment interventions. 12 lead ECG interpretation is not included. This course will be conducted as a live web stream with an expert instructor and includes hands on practice time interpreting ECG rhythms. Self-paced pre & post work is also included in this course. Included in the registration fee is a set of digital calipers and the "Basic ECG Redbook" (a comprehensive workbook). Hospital Medicine Simulation-Based Boot Camp 2.0 for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants 2024 is a one-day course designed for Mayo Clinic nurse practitioners and physician assistants that have completed Boot Camp 1.0 and are interested in expanding their medical knowledge. This course further explores acute medical conditions that are complex and common among hospitalized patients. Content is delivered by the use of simulation based learning and didactic formats through interactive discussions. It is meant to be fun and full of practical information to help NPPAs be successful in their practice caring for acutely ill hospitalized patients.

Echocardiography Best Practice: A Case-Based Update

This course is designed to provide the clinician and cardiac sonographer with an update on the basic concepts as well as advanced techniques when assessing cardiac disease with echocardiography and other imaging modalities. Experts in echocardiography will use illustrative cases and lectures to highlight the role of echocardiography in cardiology such as valvular heart disease, heart failure, myocardial disease, cardiac function, and congenital heart disease. This course will familiarize attendees with recent technological advances in the field. New topics such as 3D imaging, strain imaging and hand-held echo imaging are unique aspects to be discussed during the course along with appropriate use in the operating room, hemodynamic evaluation including cardiac emergencies, cardiac catheterization laboratory, critical care units and in operating rooms will be discussed.

This three-day course provides attendees a multidisciplinary review of standard of care management practices and state-of-the-art advances in care of the patient with cutaneous malignancy, particularly melanoma, along with squamous cell and basal cell cancer. The first morning session focuses on epidemiology, prevention, pathology, surgical treatment, and advances in systemic therapy for patients with melanoma and squamous cell cancer. The first afternoon session focus on surgery, medical oncology, and introduction to dermoscopy. The last two days are an in-depth immersion into dermoscopy for evaluating skin diseases with a focus on neoplasms.
