| Nursing Grand Rounds: Complexities in Cannabis Care | Cannabis, comprised of a multitude of therapeutic components, including CBD and THC, has been used as medicine for thousands of years; however, due to stereotyping and prohibition, dating back to the early-mid 1900s, the therapeutic uses were overshadowed until patient advocates fought for reintroduction for its medicinal benefit. With this inertia, legalization for medical and recreational uses occurred at a state level, but continues to be federally illegal leading to ongoing confusion amongst patients and providers. Furthermore, there is a spectrum of cannabis products and many therapeutic claims, but most healthcare providers are uninformed on the complexities of cannabis. | Enduring |

In patients with hypertonicity, splinting provides prolonged stretch to reduce risk of tendon/muscle shortening and to inhibit tonal influences. For patients with cervical level spinal cord injury, splint positioning may impact tenodesis grasp patterns. This four-part series addresses upper extremity anatomy, assessment of neurological deficits, and splinting techniques of the upper extremity for patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. |

Experts in each field will give in-depth didactics on state-of-the-art subjects in electrophysiology and device therapy. Each lecture will include questions and answers. Although this course is designed specifically to prepare the electrophysiology specialist for the electrophysiology boards or recertification, it will also provide the cardiologist or practicing electrophysiologist with an update on the latest knowledge and advances in electrophysiology.
