    Epilepsy treatment using stimulation therapies is a rapidly developing field of practice. Many established neurologists and neurosurgeons are not familiar with the latest technological and surgical advances. For example, providers may not be clear when invasive versus noninvasive therapies for epilepsy treatment are most appropriate or what options exist. Similarly, practitioners may not know how or when to apply vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) versus responsive neurostimulation (RNS) versus deep stimulation (DBS).

    Mayo Clinic Cardio-Oncology Update 2025

    2025 will be the seventh Mayo Cardio-Oncology course. Each year, the course directors have improved the educational content in response to feedback from attendees and speakers to try to better meet the needs of the audience and the cardio-oncology community. The goal remains to host a course that will be educational for both those active in clinical practice and research in cardio-oncology, as well as for those hoping to expand their practice into the field of cardio-oncology. Additionally, this course aims to broaden the scope to appeal to a diverse audience as cardio-oncology is a specialty that requires multidisciplinary collaboration for optimal patient care. This course reviews the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiac and vascular diseases of cancer patients throughout the continuum of their care including heart failure, myocardial ischemia, hypertension, thromboembolism, and arrhythmia. The course is directed towards the spectrum of providers who care for cancer patients to enable them to recognize the cardiovascular risk of their patients and take action to minimize this risk. This includes physicians, advance practice providers, pharmacists, and nurses in cardiology, hematology-oncology, primary care, and hospital internal medicine. The course will include lectures from experts as well as interactive case-based and question and answer sessions.

    Mayo Clinic Advancements in Surgical & Medical Management of the Spine 2026

    This 5-day course addresses the spectrum of spine diseases via didactics, case studies, and panel discussions, whether it is secondary to trauma, deformity, or common degenerative conditions. A unique split curriculum covers strategies for both surgical spine management and nonoperative approaches, including epidemiology, clinical anatomy, biomechanics, clinical assessment, and spine imaging review. Spinal injection strategies for various common spinal conditions, safety, and efficacy are examined, as well as post traumatic surgical management, adjacent segment disease issues, and comparison between various surgical techniques such as motion preserving and fusion.
