Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Explain the diagnosis and management of non-tubercular mycobacteria.
  2. Identify and describe principals of antimicrobial stewardship and infection control.
  3. Outline the spectrum, use and pitfalls of newly approved antimicrobials.
  4. Confidently manage difficult Staphylococcus aureus infections and infections in immunocompromised hosts.
  5. Identify and manage high risk travelers and post-travel complications.
