• Apply the new ACC/AHA guidelines to preoperative cardiac risk assessment.
• Interpret the limitations of the currently available perioperative cardiac risk calculators.
• Identify which patient should have NT-ProBNP and/or Troponins preoperatively and understand how they might help stratify risk.
