The Professionalism & Values Seminar Series focuses on values embraced at Mayo Clinic since the Clinic was founded. Values and Professionalism in the practice are central to the Mayo Model of Care and are reflected in the clinic’s primary value, “The needs of the patient come first.” Dr. Ingram will share with you his thoughts and experience on care and caring for seriously ill and dying patients.  He will do this through the lens of dignity conserving care to address the suffering that our patients experience.  

Objectives:

1. Describe dignity conserving care

2. Identify 4 roles to provide whole person care to address physical, emotional and spiritual needs. 

3. Respond to suffering and requests for life procedures.
