New Frontiers of Mitochondrial Medicine is a one day course new to Mayo Clinic. Physicians and other clinicians practicing in the field of mitochondrial medicine will have the opportunity to hear from world renowned specialists. The program seeks to address the latest changes in management and treatment of mitochondrial disease through didactic lectures with case examples. Clinicians will discuss what lies ahead for the future of mitochondrial medicine.

Target Audience
This course is designed for MD’s, residents fellows, students, APNs, PAs, RNs, pharmacists and genetic counselors in mitochondrial medicine.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Discuss mitochondrial dysfunction as a newly recognized cause for common and complex diseases of aging-Review progress in translational mitochondrial medicine
- Review diagnostics, therapy and biomarkers of mitochondrial disorders
- Discuss challenges and future of mitochondrial medicine

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received.
