Dr. Daniela Rakocevic graduated summa cum laude from the University of Belgrade Medical School, where she also received her Master of Science degree in Psychiatry and completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry. After transitioning her career to United States, she completed her Psychiatry residency at Mayo Clinic serving as Administrative Chief Resident. She is currently a fellow in Addiction Psychiatry and an Instructor in Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Dr. Rakocevic has a special interest in medical education and the overlap between addiction and consultation-liaison psychiatry. She is the recipient of several national awards for teaching/education, addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine.

Dr. Allen completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Kansas. He is currently a consult-liaison psychiatry fellow at Mayo Clinic.  He enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors as often as possible.

  2. Describe the current state of research on cannabis use in bariatric surgery candidates/recipients.
