DESCRIPTION
This is a weekly one-hour conference which focuses on topics pertinent to the ongoing clinical practice of cardiac imaging, continuing education, quality assurance, and research.
In-Person and Live-Streamed; Weekly on Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Sonographers, Sonographer Students, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and Students.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply Doppler principles and hemodynamics to the assessment of valvular heart disease
- Integrate echocardiography and multimodality imaging into the management of heart failure
- Illustrate the appropriate use of echo Doppler in myocardial and pericardial disease
- Identify the utility of echocardiography, including 3-D transesophageal echocardiography, for the interventional practice
- Recognize state-of-the-art clinical applications of echocardiography and Doppler ultrasound into clinical decision-making
- Evaluate patients prior to, during, and following various structural heart disease procedures such as TAVR, mitral clip, and left atrial appendage closure
- Apply on the most recent guidelines with respect to echocardiographic assessment of systolic and diastolic function
- Evaluate the role of artificial intelligence in the field of cardiovascular imaging including cardiac MRI, echocardiography, cardiac CT, and nuclear imaging
- Assess left ventricular function with state-of-the-art echocardiographic technology including strain imaging and 3D echocardiography
