DESCRIPTION
This course will cover a broad range of both didactic and hands-on simulated learning topics in the cardiovascular specialty. Sessions will cover pathophysiology, assessment, diagnosis, and management of diverse cardiovascular patient populations, by applying current evidence-based studies and national guidelines and using case study discussions.
Live-Streamed; Weekly on Mondays from 11:00-12:00 p.m.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, and Students.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the pathophysiology of various cardiovascular diseases.
- Distinguish various physical exam and diagnostic test findings for various cardiovascular diseases.
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnoses for patients presenting with cardiovascular concerns.
- Apply current pharmacologic therapy and approved device therapy management principles of various cardiovascular diseases.
- Analyze current clinical practice and evidence-based guidelines across the spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
