Series date:
Monday, January 9, 2017 - 3:00pm to Monday, December 11, 2017 - 3:00pm

DESCRIPTION
Medical informatics has emerged as a new discipline within healthcare in the 21st century.  In 2011, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) recognized clinical informatics as a clinical subspecialty. Knowledge and skills in clinical informatics are widely acknowledged as crucial to future success in patient care. The Clinical Informatics Grand Rounds series completed its first couple months' presentations (July - September, 2014) with positive feedback and increasing attendance.

If you wish to participate by watching a pre-recorded presentation, visit the online series instead.  This series is held on the 2nd Monday of the month from 3-4 p.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The audience will be primarily Mayo clinicians (since interdisciplinary nature of specialty expected attendance of MDs, NPs, RNs different subspecialties with interest in clinical informatics).  There is potential attendance by researchers and information technology (IT) personnel as well.  Currently videoconferencing to Mayo Florida and Mayo Arizona.
