DESCRIPTION
This monthly education lecture series will involve formal presentations in the areas of practice, research, and policy relevant to the social work profession. This education series will provide continued education to increased knowledge and skills necessary to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families. There was positive feedback from the 2023 RSS with the only complaint that staff were not able to attend in real time but still interested in topics and credit. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is appropriate for nurse, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physician, physician assistant, resident fellow.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Recognize the importance of SDOH in relation to healthcare.
• Identify the emotional and physical impact of each SDOH component.​
• Identify barriers for patients with SDOH. ​
• Differentiate between health equity and inequity.
• Develop assessment interventions to assist patients.
