We are seeking submissions from Mayo Clinic physicians, scientists, residents, fellows, PAs, and sonographers who are engaged in ultrasound research, clinical practice innovation, education or policy change. The presentation and/or poster should include an emphasis on innovations in practice and clinical research related to advanced practitioner practice in internal medicine and/or hospital practice. This could include an interesting case or case series or quality improvement project.
Abstract selection will be based on the quality and clarity of the abstract and relevance to practice environment. A number of the abstract submitters will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation at the Ultrasound Research Center Symposium on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
Poster-Presentation Abstracts
Overview: The finished poster size can be no larger than 4’x4’, to fit on the provided display space.
Abstract Eligibility: Original abstracts that either have or have not been presented at other meetings will be considered. Abstracts are eligible if they have been published; abstracts based upon full papers that have been published are also eligible.
Number of Entries: A participant may be the primary author on no more than two abstracts; however, he or she may be a contributing author on any number of abstracts.
Abstracts chosen for presentation will be included in the course syllabus.
Overview: Abstract submission deadline is August 1, 2019. Notification of abstract acceptance and request for a completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form will be August 15, 2019 or sooner.
Confirmation of acceptance by primary author is required by August 30, 2019 or sooner.
Additional Information:
- Live presenters will be given 15 minutes to present and will need to allow for a few minutes of Q&A during their presentations.
- PowerPoint presentations will be included in a post course syllabus.
- Posters will be on display in Phillips Hall, Siebens Medical Education Building, Mayo Clinic, all day on Saturday, September 21st from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please plan on setting up your poster by 7:30 am and taking down poster by 5:30 pm.
- Poster presenters are required and expected to present posters from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. and be available for question and answer to conference attendees.
- Dimensions: Posters should not exceed 4' high x 4' wide board (1.2 meters high x 1.2 meters wide, 48 inches x 48 inches)
