LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify the diagnoses eligible for cardiac rehabilitation and the criteria that determine referral and insurance coverage
- Describe supervised exercise training as first-line therapy for claudication in symptomatic PAD, including its protocol, expected functional gains and Medicare coverage limits
- Apply the virtual exercise and lifestyle program model to tailor aerobic, resistance and risk-factor interventions across cardiac populations — from congenital heart disease and heart failure to atrial fibrillation, transplant prehabilitation and cardio-oncology
