Learning Objectives - after this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Describe the role of CSF kappa free light chain testing in the 2024 McDonald criteria and compare its diagnostic performance with oligoclonal bands for the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
- Apply real-world evidence to the clinical laboratory implementation and interpretation of CSF kappa free light chain testing, including selection of appropriate testing strategies and cutoffs.
- Describe how large language models can support chart review in laboratory medicine research, including considerations for validation, human oversight, and reproducibility.
