Mayo Clinic Open and Endoscopic Techniques to the Cranial Base Surgery Course 2025

The goal of this course is to offer a comprehensive review and hands-on training for skull base open and endoscopic approaches. This is combined with 3D anatomical projections, case discussions, and virtual reality to offer a 360° review around surgical treatment of skull base pathologies.
Target Audience
This course is designed for medical professionals, neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, and residents and fellows of neurosurgery who have an interest in a comprehensive update, review, and hands-on training in skull base open and endoscopic techniques.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify the relevant anatomy related to cranial base approaches and pathologies.
- Review the indications of the different cranial base approaches.
- Describe the steps necessary to perform endoscopic endonasal cranial base approaches, and review the exposure obtained.
- Describe the steps necessary to perform open cranial base approaches, and review the exposure obtained.
