LEARNING OBJECTIVES

- Interpret published evidence and procedural utilization trends associated with changing treatment paradigms in selected surgical diseases.
- Analyze the impact of therapeutic innovation on surgical indications, procedural volume, training, and maintenance of technical expertise.
- Evaluate strategies by which surgeons and surgical disciplines can adapt to evolving treatment paradigms while maintaining clinical relevance and value in multidisciplinary patient care.
