Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Develop a localization-based differential diagnosis for progressive bulbar dysfunction accompanied by asymmetric cortical motor features and myoclonus.
- Identify clinical, radiographic, electrophysiologic, and biomarker findings that distinguish prion disease from other causes of rapidly progressive neurologic decline.
- Evaluate atypical presentations of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, including bulbar-onset disease, and discuss their implications for diagnosis, prognosis, and clinical management.
